When we engage with a client we first attempt to fully understand the business environment, to ‘comprehend it’, in order to implement a solution that complements business processes.
We firmly believe that business processes should drive technology and thus work hand-in-hand with domain and subject-matter experts. We also believe in involving end-users at a grass-root level in the requirements gathering process to enable us to understand the shortcomings and weaknesses of the existing system and how these can be remedied and/or improved. Individuals who use the existing system every day not only know the discrete steps they must perform to complete the business processes, but they also have expectations for what the new system must do.
